Tri-C is opening a brand new facility in Euclid, OH called the Regional Transportation Institute. The goal of the facility is to offer training for those in the transportation industry or for those who are seeking a career in transportation.

Course Description
Prerequisites
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Current Driver’s License
Classes that train workforce participants in the practices, principles and requirements associated with packaging, marking and transporting Hazardous Materials (Haz-Mat). This training is required to ship any dangerous goods by land, air or water.
A Certificate of Completion will be issued to all students that attend a training session and successfully pass the knowledge assessments. These courses satisfy all initial and continuing education requirements.

Career Outlook
Salary range $21,000 - $35,000 yearly Haz-Mat certified workforce participants are in high demand, due to the nature of the job function and potential penalty for non-compliance. Persons that possess a Haz-Mat certification will be well positioned to obtain employment in positions related to

There will be two formats of classes offered. Initial training for those who have never been to a certified class, or Recurrent for those whose training has expired.Please keep in mind, training materials are required. If you have the material, you may bring your own, but the books are a requirement of the courses.
